EMRA Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly

The Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly is one of the three Regional Assemblies of Ireland, working with key stakeholders at an EU, national, regional and local level to support effective regional development in Ireland. Its role is very broad and includes preparing, adopting and implementing regional spatial and economic strategies; participating on EU operational programme monitoring committees; identifying, participating in and coordinating certain EU projects; and supporting Ireland’s delegation to the EU Committee of the Regions through the Irish Regions European Office (IREO).
